The fund is supposed to be disbursed following the recommended guideline distribution ratio as follows;

  • Category of Staff : Teaching

Day: 75%

Boarding: 70%

  • Category of Staff : Non-Teaching

For the avoidance of doubt, the School Management refers to; Head, Assistants, Senior Master/Mistress and Accountant.

Following the good news, teachers are to note the following;

  1. Income Tax has already been deducted in bulk at the GES Headquarters.
  2. Special attention must be given to the kitchen staff.
  3. Refer to the Chief Accountant of GES, Headquarters, if the above distribution ratios compromise equity and fairness.
  4. Each Cost Centre Manager must set up a committee to share the amount to be received, indicating the amount each staff is allocated and forwarded same to the Director-General through [email protected] before the funds are transferred to the schools.
  5. These allocations should be endorsed by the Head and Accountant.
