2025 BECE and WASSCE Dates Out

The 2025 BECE and WASSCE dates are out after the long wait. This was announced in a letter released on Friday, 24th of January, 2025 Signed by Prince Charles Agyemang-Duah, Director, schools and Instructions Division for Director-General.

“The management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform all Heads of Basic and Senior High/Technical Schools that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), for School Candidates (SC), 2025 will be written as follows:

  1. BECE (SC)9th to 16th June, 2025
  2. WASSCE (SC)4th August to 19th September, 2025.

Dates for the registration of candidatess for both exams will soon be announced to get prospective candidates informed and prepared for the registration exercise. As stated, “The West African Examinations Council will communicate the period for the registration of candidates for the respective examinations to the heads of schoolss in due course”.

“By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are requested to communicate this information to Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education to inform all Heads of Basic and Senior High Schools to take note and prepare the candidates for the examination accordingly”.
