Akpinifiaga Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX Visits Agbenorxoe Chief

AKPINIFIAGA OKPEKPEWUOKPE DAGADU IX VISITS THE CHIEF OF AGBENORXOE

The paramount chief of the Akpini traditional area Akpinifiaga Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX on Tuesday the 12th of July, 2022 paid a courtesy call on Togbui Opeku the chief of Kpando Agbenorxoe.
This visit is part of his thanksgiving tour which he started yesterday when he visited Togbui Asumadu of Kpando Dzigbe also a traditional area in the Akpini state.

In the welcome address from the chief of Agbenorxoe, Togbe Opeku, he highlighted the need to  build a police post and also mentioned to the general public the festival which is been celebrated each Easter season, instituted by the community.  He again called on the Ghana tourist authority to help in developing the various tourist sites in the Kpando municipality.

In a statement issued by the King of the Akpini state, Akpinifiaga Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX, he asked for peace, unity and the cordial relationship between all the sub chiefs of the traditional area hence, the need to restore the then unity amongst the chiefs and the people of the Akpini traditional area towards development.
He added that chiefs and traditional rulers have instrumental role in the  development of the Akpini traditional state.  He pledge to spear head the developmental agenda towards development.

Present at the occasion was the Kpando Municipal Divisional Police commander. In his speech, he also emphasized on the need for indigenes to embrace peace, unity and respect among each and every one living on the Akpini land. He further stated that there is the need for every citizen to be vigilant when it comes to national security since there is an alarming attack of terrorism in the west Africa sub region.
He iterated that parents should be cautious of their children since some of them are into using illicit drugs and peddling. He again asked all to become each others’ keeper.
At end to his speech he wished the Akpini state well and called on them to cooperate with the police for security assistance.

The Paramount Chief, Okpekpewuokpe Akpinifiaga Dagadu IX, visited the newly constructed bridge linking Agbenorxoe and Dafor. He was pleased with the structure and used the moment to congratulate the contractors working on the bridge and the pace at which work is been done.

It is no doubt that the Akpini State is back and doing everything to reintroduce to the world how great they are. To those that may be wondering who they are, you don’t have to struggle to know them, the Borborbor dance that you can not hold yourself but move a body the rythym is originated from the Akpini state. They can always do it better. If you have not been to the Akpini state before, take a trip to Kpando over one of the weekends to see for yourself the rich culture and historic site that exist in the town. You will learn the real borborbor dance from its inhabitants.
