The paramount chief of the great kingdom, the Akpini state, Akpinifia Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX, lauded the project and the purpose for which it is built. When asked why she would still contest for the seat in the coming elections, she related parliament to the school where one needs to undergo training and graduate from one level to the other. One learns more as they progress to the next level. “Parliament invest in us, they train us, they give us training, they give us opportunities, privileges and we learn the parliamentary duties and stuffs and you get better with the years and so, as you grow in parliament, then you are exposed to more opportunities that will benefit your people” she explained.
She reiterated that the longer you stay, the more experience you become and so are the opportunities available to your constituency. She further explained that it will be retrogressive changing the seat at a point where the seat is almost there, “in the front”.
Speaking of other projects she championed to see the Akpini state great, she mentioned her intervention remedial classes that helped lots of students to get admission into the university. She also mentioned how Kpando has been the only constituency to have hundred percent unprecedented school feeding coverage. Health insurance building, traffic light at Aloyi and works done at the Municipal Assembly are some of the few projects she championed to bring joy and comfort to her people. Even though she has more to show, this are but few to mention.
The people of Kpando more especially, the youth are in high hopes that the Akpini State is back and they are strongly behind the greatest of the greatest King Akpinifia Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX to lead them to see this change. It is no doubt that Kpando is indeed back to claim it’s lost glory.
